Education and Background:
- Earned bachelors and medical degree in Karachi, Pakistan
- Ophthalmology residency in New York
- Corneal and refractive training from Tulane University, New Orleans
- 3 years as assistant professor in corneal and refractive surgery at Aga Khan University Hospital, Pakistan
- Returned to Texas in 2002
- Practicing in the Houston Area for over 6 years
International Eye Care Responsibilities:
- Excellent history of successful refractive procedures including LASIK with the Allegretto Wave Excimer Laser
- Experienced in cataract removal, refractive lens exchange with ReSTOR, ReZoom or Technis multifocal lenses to correct presbyopia
- Dr. Abbas provides IEC patients with more refractive surgical options for patients who are not suitable LASIK candidates.
Outside Interests:
- Dr. Abbas enjoys spending time with his wife of 15 years and their two
wonderful kids
